PET (Positron Emission Tomography)

TPET is a medical imaging technique based on the emission of positive electron by a radioactive marker. Sometimes heralded as machines able to shoot metabolism, PET cameras offer the advantage of being able to produce images showing how cells are active and grow inside the human body. By identifying whether tissues behave in a normal way or not, well before any abnormalities are revealed by a scanner or a nuclear magnetic resonance, PET makes a decisive contribution in the fields of early cancer screening, heart disease and neurology.
